PotashCorp has unveiled its plans to build a new sulfur melting plant at their facility in Aurora.
According to the Washington Daily News, PotashCorp officials told Beaufort County Commissioners this week. Plans for the plant would include two steam-heated sulfur melting melters, along with two smokestack scrubbing systems. The scrubbing systems are designed to minimize emissions and keep the smell within the facility.
PCS Phosphate stopped its plans for a sulfur melting plant in Morehead City after intense public outcry.
