Highway 903 Back Open After Accident

A highway in Lenoir County was shut down for more than an hour because of a severe car accident.

The Highway Patrol says Highway 903 near Davis Hardy Road is now back open.

Troopers say the crash happened around 3:10 p.m. and there are multiple injuries.

Officials tell WITN three people were airlifted by medical helicopters to Pitt County Memorial Hospital and are listed in critical condition. Three others were taken by ambulance to Lenoir Memorial Hospital and their conditions are not available. Troopers say both drivers had to be cut out of their vehicles.

No names or conditions have been released.

Please, if you don't mind, GET OVER YOURSELF! Are you the super-moderator for all that is good? George is allowed to post what he heard, if WITN doesn't find it objectionable. Nobody wants to read your constant holier than thou comments, but we have to put up with it because WITN sees no problem with it. So in the spirit of Thanksgiving, give thanks that you aren't forced to read something if you don't like it. Happy Thanksgiving WITN and all viewers and readers.

Please do not share information heard on a scanner with the public on this site. Information given at that time is an early triage situation and more serious injuries may have not yet been found. Doing so can give false hope to some and scare families unnecessarily. Prayers are enough!!!!!
