UPDATE: Stantonsburg Road Reopens After Gas Leak

A busy Greenville highway is reopen again after a natural gas leak forced it to close for part of the afternoon.

Stantonsburg Road in front of Zaxby's Restaurant was closed to traffic. The highway reopened just before 5:00 p.m.

It was the second time in as many days that a gas leak shut down a major street in Greenville.

Greenville Utilities spokeswoman Sue Hatch says a contractor doing work in the area damaged a natural gas main around 3:40 p.m.

Yesterday Greenville Boulevard was shut down for a time due to another natural gas leak near Best Buy.

What a mess today, Greenville PD didn't have a clue what they were doing to redirect traffic today. Took 45 minutes to get thru that mess, and every intersection they had traffic back up all ways, figure they could figure out how to have traffic flowing. By the time got to the intersection of B's road and 264, they had road blocked and no one working intersection, a big joke

Did you have power and running water when you got home? If so that should answer your stupid question. Maybe you should let GUC worry about their job and you worry about your, if you have one.
