UPDATE: Armed Robbery In Bethel

Bethel police say no arrests have been made in the armed robbery of a convenience store Wednesday night. However, a suspect has been questioned.

Police say a masked gunman robbed Hatu's Quick Stop on East Washington Street around 7:00 p.m. The gunman took off running after taking cash from the register.

Bethel Police tell WITN they're investigating an armed robbery that happened Wednesday night.

Police say it happened at Hatu's Quick Stop on East Washington Street around 7:00 p.m.

No one was hurt.

The suspect had a mask over his head and entered the store with what is believed to have been a shotgun.

Police say the clerk was forced behind the counter and was told to open the register.

An undetermined amount of cash was taken from the register and the suspect then took off on foot.
