A pilot who was hospitalized after a small plane crash in Bertie County five days ago remains in critical condition.
Officials say Michael Taylor was pinned in the plane after it nosedived into a field and flipped Friday morning.
It happened near the intersections of Highway 17 and 45, in the community of Midway between Windsor and Edenton.
Neighbors told WITN Taylor may have been trying to bring his plane to his home when the crash happened.
There is no word on a cause.
