Arrest Made In Rash Of Store Robberies

Goldsboro police say they have solved a rash of armed robberies that have plagued convenience stores since the middle of December.

Antell Nobles had already been charged for last Friday's hold up of the Handy Mart on Highway 70. Now police say he faces charges in five other business robberies. Three of those happened at the same store, the Kangaroo on East New Hope Road on January 3rd, 6th and 15th.

Nobles' bond has been increased from $150,000 to $650,000 with the latest charges. Police say there are other people of interest and further charges are expected.

In addition to the Kangaroo and Handy Mart, Nobles is charged with the December 30th robbery at the Hasty Mart on Millers Chapel Road, and the January 19th robbery at the China 8 on North Berkeley Boulevard.

so tough, rob a store, point a gun at someone doing their job, and scare them to death. I hope he gets 15 years. How tough were ya Antell when those handcuffs closed and you realized its over, did you cry? I hope you did. But I am curious, the comment saying that wayne county has no one to blame but yourselves...please break that down because I don't understand.

Since when is it the community's responsibility to look after someone? What ever happened to being responsible for yourself, without resorting to committing a crime? That's the trouble with this country. Everyone is expecting a handout. It's folks like you that are to blame for continuing to enable the "entitled" mentality.

Another example of society failing those most in need. Weep loudly Wayne County; you have no one to blame but yourselves.

Cut his right hand off. Next offense, remove his left hand. This will reduce his ability if he cannot fight the urge to be a felon.

If he had worn a suit during the robberies, would that be considered a white collar crime? Just asking. I mean if your going to steal, do it on paper. Thats what our leaders have taught us.

It's great that this criminal has finally be caught. I hope no one gets on here and tries to explain how this is a good kid, misunderstood, life did not cut him a break, etc... He made his bed, he should sleep in it now. Great job, Goldsboro Police. I wonder, how many times do you need to stick you hand on a hot burner till you realize that you will get burnt.
