Area Businesses Gearing Up For Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is this weekend and area businesses say it means a big boost for them as people prepare for the big game.

Many like to watch the game on a big screen and Best Buy in Greenville says that's why over the past week or so they've seen more people coming in to look at tv's.

Best Buy isn't the only business that's enjoying the jump in sales, so are local restaurants. At Buffalo Wild Wings they already have many pre-orders for Sunday and at Jet's Pizza they say Super Bowl Sunday is like Christmas for them.

Many local bars and restaurants will also be airing the game on their big screens, so you're able to take out, or dine in.

You can watch the game on WITN this Sunday.

Freak the sucker bowl. I wish everyone paid as much attention to these high ace gas prices as they did the slum bowl.

Remember when the local Fox Station broadcasting the Super Bowl went out in Greenville during the Super Bowl? I remember it basically happened every Sunday night for months previously. I would call to complain. It only happened on Sunday nights indicating to me that the staff was off and the adjustments to the antennae (or something) were ignored all weekend every weekend. They used to give me excuses such as it was the curvature of the earth and fog on the Neuse River (seriously they did) that caused the problems (but only on Sunday nights!). It amazes me people have such little self-respect that they would lie to the world at such a loser job.

Wish it was different teams. I guess someone will win when the clock runs out. I don't dislike either- I just hoped some others could have been there.
