Are Some Buildings In Washington Haunted?

A group of researchers was in Beaufort County Saturday night into Sunday morning, checking some buildings to see if they are haunted.

The group is called Haunted North Carolina Inc.

One of their first stops was the Turnage Theater. According to the group there is a rumor that many years ago a man that worked at the theater hanged himself in the projection room.

Since then the theater has been renovated, but some workers who were doing the renovations said they heard footsteps and running from the projection room. They say at the time there wasn't any stairs, so there was no way anyone could get to the room.

The researchers use voice recorders, flashlights, and energy readers to try and see if they can connect with a possible spirit or ghost who is the theater.

The researchers sit in a circle and ask the spirit questions. They expect an answer by the flashlight going on and off, a noise, the energy reader may move, or sometimes the voice recorder picks up a voice.

While we were with the group, one of the flashlights did turn off, but there was no other direct responses.

The group was then headed off to other areas of the Turnage as well as other buildings.

We hope to get an update on their findings by later today.

Yes and one of them is the City Counsel Meeting Room. When its time to vote get out and vote and get some new people in there. The old "ghosts" that have been there for so very long are doing nothing. Replace them with some new "spirits".

It's not the dead you have to worry about in this screwed up world.

It may make no difference here but you should know this is strictly forbidden by the Bible. So it leaves little doubt that there are spirits and such. However calling up the dead is considered an abomination to God. Proceed at your own risk. Deut 18:9-14

Yes; the Bible prohibits interacting with fortune tellers, necromancers or those who call upon the dead, and false prophets. I agree with you. Doing so is considered a dangerous practice to Christians.

We have God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. From my understanding the word spirit, also means Ghost. Some people read the same Book and get Different meanings. Where you serve the Lord may be different than mine.

Itook my a friend from Dallas, Tx on the "BATH" tour a couple of summers ago as I had never been myself. We were upstairs at the Palmer-Marsh house with the guide. we were in the hallway and heard the back door below us open, close, and foot steps walking in the foyer. the guide called out: HELLO< We're up here. (no answer) again: HELLO! can I help U?(again, no answer!) She looks @ us and said :Excuse me, let me go see who it is.>> She came back upstairs to us and said, hmmmm, that's strange, there's no one in the house but us! Now let me tell UUUU!!! MY hair still stands on end when I relive that. That Texas gal as well as myself had had ENOUGH!! I couldn't get out of there fast enough. What ever it was, opened the door, stepped inside enough to CLOSE the door and then walked across the foyer! WE ALL THREE HEARD IT!
