A period of unsettled weather will occur this weekend across eastern North Carolina. A cold front will slowly approach the region Saturday and move across the state at night. Showers and thunderstorms will develop across the area during the day with some isolated severe activity possible. The risk for a few showers and storms will continue on Sunday. Temperatures will be slightly cooler over the weekend due to the increased cloud cover and shower activity. Highs should top out in the middle to upper 70s Saturday and lower to middle 70s on Sunday. Skies will finally clear on Monday along with cooler temperatures.
