All Systems Still Go For Air Show At Seymour Johnson

As of 5 p.m. Friday, all systems are go for the "Wings Over Wayne" air show at Seymour Johnson Air Force base in Goldsboro.

Here is the information from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base:

"The planning and preparations for the Wings Over Wayne open house are nearing completion. The installation commander continues to monitor the latest weather forecasts for this weekend. In the event of severe weather, a timely decision will be communicated to the public on our website.

We have a flexible schedule planned in order to maximize performances for our guests. If needed, all concerts will be moved into large aircraft hangers and can be performed regardless of weather. We remain optimistic and will ensure the safety of our visitors. The gates of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base will open at 8 a.m. on both April 16th and 17th. We look forward to an outstanding event on both days."

It's sad that the "installation commander" put all those people at risk. Thousands of guests were unaware of what was happening around them and the commander did nothing.

all systems go to spend a few hundred thousand in fossil fuel at our expense. Admission should be free for anyone with a job.
