Raising money for education and having fun brought folks together Tuesday night to test their spelling skills.
The Washington/Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce held its 8th annual adult team spelling bee. WITN's Dave Jordan was the one calling out the words Tuesday night. 24 teams participated. In the end, a team from PCS Phosphate in Aurora won with the word pizzicato. It means plucking by the fingers used as a direction of music.
The money raised goes to the Beaufort County Education Foundation.
