Authorities in Pitt County are investigating what caused a structure fire Wednesday night at an abandoned building.
The fire broke out in an unoccupied building on Davenport Farm Road in Pitt County.
Bryant Beddard with the Red Oak Fire Department says they got the call just after 9:00 p.m. and once they arrived on scene were able to get the fire under control within ten minutes.
Beddard says the Pitt County Sheriff's Office will be investigating the cause.
No one was inside or injured.
