A cold front and accompanying low pressure center will cross eastern North Carolina on Friday bringing a soaking rain to the area. Most locations should receive around one inch, with locally heavier amounts. The rain will be heavier in the morning and will slowly taper off during the afternoon and evening. Skies will clear late Friday night giving way to plenty of sunshine over the weekend. Highs for the next two days will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Warmer temperatures can be expected early next week.
