High pressure to our south is pumping warm air northward into eastern North Carolina. Overnight lows should remain in the lower 50s then rebound into the 70s Friday afternoon. The only exception will be along the immediate coast where highs should range in the middle to upper 60s. Winds will pick up from the southwest and blow around 10 to 20 mph. The breezy conditions will increase the fire danger across the region. A cold front will pass through the area late Friday night and bring slightly cooler air for the weekend, with highs in the 60s. Dry conditions will persist through the weekend.
