High pressure following a strong cold front brought sunshine and seasonable temperatures to eastern North Carolina on Friday. The high will settle over the area during the weekend so skies should remain sunny with light winds. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s to lower 50s with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 70s Saturday and near 80 degrees on Sunday. Another cold front could push a few showers into the area by Monday evening. There will be a better chance for showers on Tuesday.
