Strong high pressure will settle into the Southeast over the weekend giving eastern North Carolina lots of sunshine. We'll start out early Saturday near the freezing mark across most inland locations. We could even see some scattered frost. The warming trend begins by late morning and by the afternoon we should see highs in the middle 60s. Some communities will hit 70 degrees by Sunday afternoon. A cold front will arrive late Sunday bringing cooler air for the first half of next week.
