High pressure will build along the Middle Atlantic Coast for the weekend providing dry air and warm afternoon temperatures. Skies will remain mostly sunny during the afternoon as highs hit the upper 80s inland and lower to middle 80s along the beaches. Overnight lows will drop into the 60s for the next two nights. The beaches will see a light onshore breeze from the east. There will be a moderate risk of strong rip currents along the Outer Banks and Crystal Coast. The heat will rebuild into eastern North Carolina by the middle of next week.
