High pressure will settle across eastern North Carolina this afternoon shifting the winds to the southwest. After a chilly morning below freezing, highs should hit the lower 60s by this afternoon.
There will be lots of sunshine and light winds from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. The warming trend should take off Sunday as highs approach 70°. Lower to middle 70s can be expected early next week with little chance for rain until Tuesday night.
