A warming trend will begin Friday after one more cold night across eastern North Carolina. Overnight lows will fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s then recover into the middle to upper 50s Friday afternoon. There will be plenty of sunshine on Friday afternoon and that will help take the chill out of the air. The weekend looks much milder with highs in the middle to upper 60s. It should stay dry through Saturday afternoon but showers could arrive late Saturday night or Sunday.
