A cold front associated with an area of low pressure will slowly move across eastern North Carolina over the next few days. The atmosphere will remain unstable enough to produce a 50/50 chance for showers on Tuesday afternoon and evening. There will be a chance for more showers on Wednesday and Thursday but less activity is expected. The atmosphere should dry out late in the week with increasing sunshine. Seasonable temperatures will continue over the next few days with highs in the middle to upper 70s. Warmer air will arrive by the weekend.
