Spring weather conditions will continue across eastern North Carolina for the next few days. A weak cold front will drop into northeastern sections early Tuesday with some cooling across those communities. Highs will generally be in the 70s except middle to upper 60s along the Outer Banks and extreme northeast. Winds will be lighter than Monday with a mainly northeast component along the Outer Banks. Winds will be variable in most inland locations and that should reduce the fire danger a bit. Gusty winds are likely to return Wednesday with an increased fire danger. There is little or no chance of rain through Wednesday.
