A Few Showers Then Warmer

A cold front will push into eastern North Carolina early Wednesday. There will be a few showers along and ahead of the front but rainfall is expected to remain below a quarter inch in most locations. The front will sweep off the coast by Wednesday afternoon and that will end the threat of showers. Skies will become mostly clear Wednesday night and temperatures fall into the 40s. Sunny skies will return Thursday and continue into the weekend. Highs will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s the next two days then rise into the upper 70s late in the week.
