An autopsy says the manager of a Bojangles restaurant was shot once at close range back in June.
The body of Ken Leefe was found in his car which was parked at the La Grange Bojangles.
The autopsy, which was just released, says the 55-year-old man was shot in the left arm and the bullet then struck him in the left side of the chest. It says the bullet struck several vital organs and they believe the man bled to death.
No one has been charged with Leefe's murder even though Lenoir County deputies released a surveillance video in September of the suspected gunman.
At the time deputies said the murder did not appear to be connected to a robbery since nothing was stolen from the manager who was not carrying a night deposit bag. Authorities said Leefe tried to drive away away in his vehicle, hit a curb and then slumped over.
