AAA: Gas Prices Expected To Drop Soon

Soon you may be getting some relief at the pump. That's because AAA expects prices to go down. Still many people we spoke to in the east say the price of regular unleaded right now is too high

According to AAA, the average price of regular unleaded in North Carolina is$ 3.10. A month ago it was $3.04. AAA officials say what drove the cost at the pump to increase last week was the unrest in the middle east, but officials are expecting the price to start going down since the supply is high and the demand is low. Samuel Cheatham drives a lot delivering food to the needy in Onslow County and says he feels the pinch.

"I look at my gas tank and then I look at the money in my pocket and say what should I do? Should I save this or do this or put gas to serve others so it always wins out the volunteer part," said Cheatham

Some areas in North Carolina are already starting to see the price go down. In Wilmington it went down 1 cent a gallon Tuesday. The national average is $3.12.

$3.00 is not low enough to be a bargain price. It wont be considered bargain anything until it's below $2.00.

I love it when cons whine about high gas prices (or say stupid questions like.."why is gas in Williamston 9 cents cheaper than it is Washington? Someone needs to investigate this!"). Supply/demand and charging what the market will bear are two aspect of capitalism. Too bad Obama isn't the commie or socialist y'all claim him to be....maybe he could have set price ceilings on the price of gas ;-)

Larry gas has never reached the $3.00 mark this time of year.If you google it you will find that the price a barrel for this time of year broke an all time high.Dont let this report fool you.No demand because the economy sucks under amabO and the price spikes like this.Just wait tell late spring and summer when the rich start their vacationing. This will be another excuse for it to go past what it is now.

$3.00... Is A Bargain. Go look how much other countries pay for gas (petrol) ...then be thankful you live in the good ol' USA. Pay for your gas with a smile next time. Obumer has little to do with gas prices.

According to the Repugs, gas has never reached the $3.00 per gal mark until Obama took office. How soon they forgot.

Amazing how after Katrina, (when gas was about $1.65/gallon) the price spiked as far as $4.25 and only went back under $2.00 for a very short time months later. Now they have us all conditioned to believe that getting back to $2.50 is somehow a good deal.
