The high pressure system that kept eastern Carolina warm and dry on Saturday will persist on Sunday. Sunny skies are expected with highs in the middle to upper 80s. The beaches will be slightly cooler with highs in the lower 80s. Winds will remain light through the day.
Dry weather will continue into early next week but temperatures will soar into the lower to middle 90s. This will be due to the high pressure system moving off our coast, shifting our winds from easterly to southwesterly, pushing in warm, tropical air.
