The stagnant weather pattern that has produced numerous showers this summer will continue on Wednesday. An area of increased instability will work into the area late Wednesday into Thursday as a weak cold front moves into western North Carolina. The front will remain to our north and west keeping a 30% to 40% chance for showers and thunderstorms each day through the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 80s inland and middle 80s on the beaches. Inland communities could see some ground fog early in the morning.
