Now these boys can be given a 90 day sentence. Should be tried as adults. God help us!

These kids took a mans life over a beer. They are not to be classified as humans anymore. The state should get rid of these worthless people before they get out and do it again. Sweep the trash out and make it safe for decent people to walk the streets.

This is sad. A man lost his life, and these children in some way have lost and/or forever altared their own. Every life has value so I am ashamed of those who comment that these six children should be hung or sentenced to death. Equally am I ashamed of those who blame the man for his death when none of us know the true circumstances of this situation. Lastly, I am ashamed of the suggestion that these young man don't deserve a trial. Please upleft the families of both sides of this situation. The old man, just like these 6 teenagers, was also someone's child. It appears to me that WE ALL have failed both dead and the living by not stepping up.

Justifying the actions of children committing adult crimes (i.e. in reference to 'truther' January 16th) only heightens what is wrong with society, and the demise of our children. Something is truly wrong, and we are raising our children to not understand what it means to live and be respectful human beings. Death in this case was not warranted, and the children knew he or she could report that adult to the authorities. Instead they decided not to....

If this man was such a threat, why was he allowed to come to the store? he was a drunk i dont think he would harm anybody and that didnt give those boys the right to kill that man point blank.

I have to agree. Sounds like he was homeless. However he wound up in his predicament, the young men could have just backed off, shrugged it off. The guy probably did have a bad 'socialization' technique (shouting, threatening), but they out-numbered him; that's the mitigating factor.

Are you kidding?!? Whether he got drunk behind the mini mart and threatened people DID NOT GIVE THOSE CHILDREN THE RIGHT TO KILL HIM! You are what is wrong with society. Did he threaten the children by saying "You better steal my beer or I will hurt you?" I doubt it. THEY KILLED HIM...FOR A BEER. YOU CANNOT JUSTIFY THAT!
