Deputies and police said they worked together to put a Lenoir County woman behind bars, and her bond for 25 charges added up to more than $5 million.
Deputies at the Lenoir County jail verified with WITN that 32-year-old Jammie Williams bonded out of jail by Friday morning after she was arrested on 25 charges. Her bond totaled $5,064,000.
The Kinston Department of Public Safety said they worked jointly with the Lenoir County Sheriff's office to bust an oxycodone operation. We are awaiting further details from investigators on what that alleged operation entailed.
Williams is accused of seven counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery. She faces 10 counts of trafficking opium or heroin, four charges for identity theft, three counts of uttering a forged instrument, and one charge for a forged signature.
Court calendars show she is due to go before a judge on these charges on August 7th of this year.
