2 Teens Arrested In Attempted Murder Case

Two teenagers are charged with attempted murder stemming from a shooting and robbery a month ago.

It happened January 3rd at 515 Edgecombe Street in Rocky Mount. Police say the 15-year olds, who's names aren't being released because of their age, entered the victim's residence with guns and demanded money.

Police say one of the suspects fired multiple rounds from a handgun striking 42-year-old Joseph Maxwell in the head and body, leaving him with critical injuries. The teens were arrested Friday, and are also charged with 2 counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a minor and conspiracy to commit a robbery.

If they are old enough to commit this type of CRIME...then they are old enough for their names to be printed...Just my opinion

I am waiting for somebody to post that these two "boys" are good citizens, well educated (made all A's and never missed a day of school), never been in trouble, and both their mothers and fathers don't know how this could have happened because they remember dropping them off at church that night for Sunday School.

15 years old and already in this kind of trouble. What kind of citizens are these two going to turn in to. I will be willing to bet career criminals. Great job by these parents.

At 15 u should know right from stupid, so if that guy dies they should b tried as adults. If they think they can rob and shoot at an old man they can go to prison with old guys. But I’m sure they will blame it on video games or TV.
