$2500 Reward Offered In Hit And Run Case

A $2500 reward is being offered for information about a hit and run death that happened in October.

Janna Brannan was struck and killed by a vehicle on Cook Drive in the town of Duck in October. Brannan was the wife of Duck volunteer firefighter Boyd Brannan. The fire department is now offering that reward. The department says the reward will be paid for original information which results in a warrant for arrest or a grand jury indictment for this crime.

As the PIO for the Town of Duck, thank you for posting this. As all have said, Duck is in Dare County and borders Currituck. The main thing here is that we are hoping that someone comes forward with any information that they may have to bring closure to this case for the family and the residents of Duck.

Duck has never been in Currituck County. It is in Dare. But like Sarah Palin, if you look across the sound you can really see Currituck County.

Duck was originally part of Currituck County, but it hasn't been for years. Duck has been incorporated since 2002.

When I was last in Duck, it wasn't a town. Has it now been incorporated?
