Police say an ECU student who was hit by a car next to the university was crossing the street against the light.
The accident happened around 9:15 p.m. at East 10th Street and College Hill Drive.
Police say Patrick Klitsch of Raleigh was wearing dark clothing when he crossed East 10th. The student was taken to Vidant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the vehicle's driver will not face any charges.
Greenville and ECU Police responded Tuesday night to a call that a person was hit by a vehicle at College Hill & 10th Street.
The accident happened around 9:15.
Police tell WITN the person hit was a male student, but didn't have any further information.
That individual was taken to the hospital. It's not known how serious his injuries are.
Police said the vehicle did have the right of way.
At this time police are still investigating.
