Why don't they put where civilians work when they get in trouble? Teacher Mollests KId, Gas Station Attendant Steals Car, stuff like that. But Every time is has anything to do with a Marine it has to be known.

It's understandable that as soon as a Marine breaks the law (no matter how petty or serious the crime is) we are all quick to make remarks about PTSD and post war blah blah blah. But what is truly amusing about those that do so is the fact that they have crime in your cities that is committed by their neighbors. Whether it be child molesters, shop lifters, drug dealers, murders, etc. But the fact a Marine did something takes the spot light. Is he a piece of garbage? Without a doubt yes. However, he is not every Marine in your city. He will be held accountable for his actions just as any other person would. I understand he gives the Marine Corps a bad name and representation but you have civilians that all do the same things that "marine wife" talked about.

Hey Ignorant, we're not talking about any other civilian. We're talking about a Marine. And yes, check the statistics...its more crime at this marine base than any other. they got nothing better to do than dui, rape, murder, shoplift, even Colonels, Majors, take your pick, do you think this is a fine example of the few the proud?? Tell me??? Geeze... Maybe its their IQ. Which makes them do this.

As a Marine or any service member, he swore an oath to uphold and protect the constitution. He is held in higher regard, or should be, and held more so accountable when he violates the constitutional rights of others. Things like this are probably more prevalent being in post war. These boys have seen and lived with the most horrible, so would be obviously more hardened to violence and mayhem. We are still responsible for our actions when we disgrace the oath we have taken.

They made it too easy on Marines. They're not required to live up to the standards they used to. That's what's going on. No one is allowed to smack the sense into them anymore.

You're exactly right, they ride motorcycles drunk and naked, they kill each other and bury in the backyard, they indecent expose themselves to people at convience store, they shoplift, and many of these offenders are officers who are held to a high standard. the marine corp is going down the toilet and they can't blame it on PTSD either. They are just ignorant, illiterate thugs who think they can control any town they live in. when they are not drunk they are screwing around. makes me puke.

They should never put the name Marine in front of his name. He should get a dishonorable discharge as soon as possible.

I bet his face is gonna be red when they catch him. But this is the kind of things that happen when people get together and breed at will (willy-nilly). All that "Begat" stuff in the Bible was a warning. Now we've stepped backward. THINK ! Did this kind of stuff use to happen much? What happened? I look at the world like a scared rabbit and events like this re-enforce my feelings. Things wren't like this in the 50s. Desperate people.

Things were like this in the 50s. It's just that in the 50s women were afraid to come out and say anything about being mistreated. It was hidden. There weren't programs to assist victims like we have now. They were more afraid of not having a way to provide for themself and get away safely.

You're wrong. This kind of thing didn't happen very often years ago (1960s). People respected each other more. Do you even READ the stories on this page? How old are you , anyway?
