Police have reported looting that happened after power outages caused by hurricane Irene left homes and businesses vulnerable.

Two men are charged with stealing $40,000 worth of pain medication from the Chocowinity Pharmacy on Highway 33. The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says 19-year-old Stoney Berry and 32-year-old Robert Austin are charged with the break in while power was out due to the hurricane. Deputies say they found large amounts of oxycontin and oxycodone at the men's homes in Chocowinity and Grimesland along with about $1,000 in cash.

Last time I checked a few misdemeanors was not a "lengthy police record. As far as using the army to get out of trouble I was signed up before I even got into trouble to start with. So as far as being a bad person I'm not one and neither is my brother. If you got anything else to say, why don't you use your actual name instead of hiding. Or are you scared that you have issues that might be brought up? Evryone knows who I am, the same thing can't be said for you though. J.T.E.B.

Stoney is my baby brother-in-law. I love him with all my heart and he just needs help. Sometimes ppl need help with stuff. Other ppl that dnt knw him need to leave him alone and let him try to get his life back straight. He hasn't always been this way and I belive once he gets the help he needs he won't be that way anymore. So like I said before you judge him look into your own lives and see what u may need help with and leave him alone. Love you Stoney and your nices and nephews send lots of hugs, kisses, and love.

Don't enable him with his problem.... don't bail him out of jail; let him do his time and pay his fine. He's young; if you reach him now, he could be okay but don't go easy on him.

Stoney is my lil brother. He is not a bad person or anything like that. He just has a bad addiction that needs help. Before evryone starts judging how about looking in your own closets. Evryone deserves a chance to straighten up and not be criticized. I Love You Boy Happy B Day and can't wait to see you

This was not the first time. Both of them already had court dates for other crimes involving drugs. Bless the woman that turned them in. Now out streets will have a few less drugs and a couple less losers. Was the $40,000 street value or pharmacy cost ?????? ,

Those two look to me like they've already taken too many drugs.
