1000+ Marines To Boost Afghanistan Forces

More than a thousand Camp Lejeune Marines are headed to a troubled part of Afghanistan.

The Pentagon says the request comes from the U.S. Central Command. Members of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit will move to the Helmand province to provide greater security and support for ongoing operations. They are expected to move there by the end of the month.

The 26th MEU deployed August 26th an month earlier than planned. The MEU has already helped with flood relief in Pakistan, and then took over as the U.S. Central Command theater reserve force in early November.

Andrew, you sound like a terrorist, just kill everybody, good or bad, innocent women, children, young or old, kill them all? Then what happens to the radiation clouds? What happens to foreign relations, nuclear arms agreements? It would go counter to and undermine all of our attempts to slow nuclear proliferation.
