Study: Does Cranberry Juice Really Prevent Bladder Infections?

A new study is casting doubt on the theory that cranberry juice prevents bladder and kidney infections.

British researchers reviewed data from 24 studies and found taking cranberry pills or drinking cranberry juice were no better than a placebo in preventing these infections.

There were small benefits for women with chronic urinary tract infections, but studies show they'd have to drink two glasses of cranberry juice a day to prevent just one infection.
