No New North Carolina Flu Deaths In Past Two Weeks

For the second week in a row there have been no new flu deaths in the state.

The state Health Department says the number of flu deaths in the state remains at 37.

Health experts say the number of positive flu tests continued to drop last week as well, far below what they were in late November. This flu season, the number of cases peaked right before Christmas, compared to mid-February for the last flu season.

Last year only 9 people in the state died from the flu.
