Taking popular painkillers may lower your risk of developing skin cancer.
Researchers in the Netherlands studied nearly 20,000 skin cancer patients and compared their medical records to that of 180,000 adults without the disease. They found patients who filled at least two prescriptions for NSAIDs - which include Aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen - were less likely to develop squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma.
Past studies have also shown NSAIDs can lower the risk for other forms of cancer.
