Health Officials Investigate Nash County Restaurant For Possible Food Related Illness

An investigation is underway into a possible foodborne illness outbreak in the Nash County.

The Nash County Health Department and North Carolina Division of Public Health are investigating at Ribeyes Steakhouse in Nashville. County health department officials say they responded to the complaints immediately after the first report last Thursday. So far 75 people have been interviewed. Environmental health staff inspected the restaurant, collected food samples for testing, and have worked closely with the restaurant to ensure proper precautions are in place to stop transmission. At this time, the specific illness and source of transmission have not been confirmed, but laboratory results are expected later this week.
