Health Department: Most E-Coli Victims Went To State Fair

The Wake County Health Department says an outbreak of E-Coli has infected nine people and most of them have something in common.

Eight of the nine people with the potentially deadly bacteria attended the NC State Fair, but it's not clear if they contracted E-Coli there.

Three children are in intensive care units with the potentially deadly type of food poisoning.

The Wake County Health Department says seven children and two adults have been infected with E.-Coli bacteria. The community health director said the cause of their illness is not yet known and visiting the fair was just one shared characteristic.
