Harris Teeter Sorbet Recall

Harris Teeter is recalling five flavors of its HT Traders Sorbet because of the possibility of undeclared milk protein.

The Matthews-based grocery chain announced the recall Tuesday.

Spokeswoman Catherine Ruehl said in a statement that the recall affects the lemon, raspberry, mango, coconut and orange flavors. The UPC numbers are 72036 98193 through 72036 98197.

A person with a milk allergy may experience reactions, including a rash or swelling of the throat, depending on their level of sensitivity, if they eat the affected sorbet.

Ruehl said customers who purchased the sorbet can return it to the store for a full refund.

Harris Teeter has more than 200 stores in eight states.
