Mental health specialists across the country will be offering free anonymous screenings on October 6 for National Depression Screening Day, including two in Greenville.
Screenings will be held at East Carolina University at two locations Thursday for students only. One will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mendenhall Student Center, and the other from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Laupus Library, near Brody School of Medicine.
Students can be screened anonymously for a variety of common health issues, including depression, generalized anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and eating disorders.
The Center for Counseling and Student Development will also have staff on site to discuss screening results.
