Toxic Toys

Those Christmas toys for your children may contain hidden dangers.

A Justgreen Partnership survey shows that of more than 1,500 toys tested this year, one in three contained medium to high levels of lead, cadmium, arsenic and other chemicals.

Lead was found in 20% of the toys, some far exceeding the legal standard. The most contaminated category was children's jewelry.

The Justgreen Partnership is a coalition of children's safety, public health and environmental groups.

You can see what kind of chemicals different toys have by visiting www.healthytoys.org.

Reed, how do you figure its Bush's fault. He hasnt twisted anyones arm and said you must buy this toy because it is made in China.Parents have the option of not buying Chinese made products. The retailers would get the message. But parents would rather save a dollar than worry about thier kids safety, or so it seems.

George Bush not only bankrupted our country and got into a war.....but he's poisoning our children. But he sure is a good public speaker. Let us pray for help!
