A lack of vitamin 'D' could put your heart health at risk.
After following over 3,000 patients for almost eight years, German researchers found those with a severe vitamin D deficiency were almost three times more likely to die from heart failure and five times more likely to die from sudden cardiac arrest.
Researchers say while more testing needs to be done, boosting vitamin d levels may be a promising way to prevent and treat a variety of heart diseases.
