Economy Down, Alcohol Consumption Up

The economy may be down, but Americans seem to be drinking up.

Officials in Pennsylvania and Connecticut, among other places, say alcohol sales are on the increase. But experts are mixed on drinking and its appeal during harder times.

Some say people drink more of less expensive brands... and others maintain that elbow bending slows down when people stop spending.
And experts say people are more inclined to drink more at home, and less at bars.
