Researchers Find Gene Linked To Alzheimer's Disease

Researchers at Albert Einstein College of medicine have identified a new gene that is linked to late-onset Alzheimer's disease.

They looked in an area of the brain associated with the disease call the hippocampus.

They found a variant of this gene was found more often in people with Alzheimer's than those without the disease.

This is only the second gene that has been universally linked to Alzheimer's.
