Parents Sue Baby Bottle Companies

Several makers of baby bottles are the target of a federal lawsuit, filed by four Ohio parents.

The lawsuit claims bottles made by five companies, including Playtex, Evenflo and Gerber, contain a harmful chemical associated with child health problems and that the manufacturers didn't warn their customers. The chemical bi-sphenol a or BPA, is used in the making of plastic baby bottles and has been known to seep from the bottles and sippy-cups into liquids.

The lawsuit seeks an unspecified amount for damages. The companies involved have not commented.

What side effects do we need to look for to see if our child/children have been affected by this BPA?
