Adults with diabetes may be at risk for another disorder: depression.
A survey of more than 18-thousand people with diabetes indicates major depression affected more than 8-percent of people when they took into account age.
The prevalence was highest among people in their 30's, especially women. Higher rates of depression were also found among Native Americans and Alaskan natives. The lowest rates were found among Asians and people living in Connecticut.
