Warning To Female Smokers

Women may fare worse than men when it comes to certain complications of cigarette smoking.

A new study from China found that women who smoked were 20 percent more likely than men to develop Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

For smokers overall, those who smoked the most cigarettes a day had a 77 percent greater risk of developing the lung disease than non-smokers. Those who smoked the fewest had a 40 percent increased risk, overall.
