Troopers say a man airlifted after flipping his truck Friday afternoon on Highway 17 in Craven County will be charged. The Highway Patrol says just before 5:00 p.m. the man in his late 40's was driving north on highway 17 when he sideswiped a minivan, flipped his red Ford truck, and ended up in the median near the Bayboro exit to Highway 55.

The driver of the minvan was not injured. The driver of the truck was still at Vidant Medical Center late Friday night. Their names have not been released. No one else was involved.

Traffic was detoured for more than an hour while the scene was cleared.
