A Pamlico County woman is facing multiple charges after a high speed chase Monday that went into four counties.
It started in Pamlico County where deputies were pursuing a stolen vehicle shortly after 2:00 p.m. Craven County deputies joined the chase as well as state troopers.
The stolen car got onto U.S. 70 and the chase traveled through Jones and into Lenoir County. Deputies say maximum speeds were approximately 120 miles per hour.
State troopers say just before the Kinston city limits, they were able to box in the car and stop it in the median.
37-year-old Nichole Gibbs of Bayboro was taken into custody by Pamlico County deputies. In addition to charges in Pamlico County, the woman is also going to be charged by troopers with felony flee to elude and reckless driving.
No one was injured in the multi-county chase.
